[Ardentia 2026](https://www.ardentprivacy.ai/blog/ardentia-2026/), a two-day conference held on 21st and 22nd February, marked a defining moment for India’s privacy and AI governance ecosystem. Designed as the first dedicated Privacy & AI Governance Conference for professionals and academicians, the event focused on one clear objective: moving beyond policies and frameworks toward practical, hands-on implementation of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ([DPDP Act](https://www.ardentprivacy.ai/india-digital-personal-data-protection-act/)) and global privacy regulations.

Organized by Ardent Privacy, Ardentia 2026 brought together ethical hackers, IT innovators, legal experts, CISOs, risk leaders, compliance professionals, and academicians to exchange real-world implementation experiences and build operationally mature privacy and AI governance programs.

### About Ardentia 2026

With the powerful theme “Igniting Privacy and Trust,” the conference was built on a simple yet transformative mission:

To help organizations translate privacy law and AI governance principles into engineering reality.

**Ardentia 2026 emphasized:**

- Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs)
- AI Security & Responsible AI Implementation
- Operationalizing India’s DPDP Act
- Scaling global privacy compliance programs
- Embedding privacy-by-design into enterprise systems

Beyond thought leadership, the conference featured hands-on training programs and product certification tracks for enterprise teams and practitioners, ensuring participants gained actionable knowledge, not just insights.

### Day 1 | Conference Track (Seasides 2026)

Day 1 set the tone for meaningful, practitioner-led conversations around privacy, AI governance, and real-world DPDP Act implementation.

The dedicated Privacy & AI Governance Track featured impactful sessions, including:

- **Opening Session –** Setting the national vision for responsible data governance and ethical AI adoption in India
- **Building Privacy-First Digital Payments –** The future of UPI under the DPDP Act
- **Compliance-Ready Systems with Distributed SQL –** Designing scalable, regulation-ready data stores
- **Engineering Shift-Left Privacy in the DPDPA Era –** Embedding privacy across the data lifecycle
- **DPDPA Simplified –** What every cybersecurity professional must know
- **Reasonable Security Safeguards with a 360° DRM Approach –** Strengthening protection with structured governance controls

From legal interpretation to engineering architecture, discussions focused on operationalizing compliance, not merely interpreting the law.

The energy and depth of conversations reflected one clear message:

India is ready to lead in Privacy & Responsible AI.

### Day 2 | 22nd February | Track 1 (Josh) Presentations

If Day 1 defined the vision, Day 2 emphasized execution, ownership, and digital responsibility.

The Josh Track delivered high-impact, practitioner-led insights that connected boardroom strategy with engineering implementation.

**Highlights included:**

- **Data Privacy in the Age of AI –** Innovating responsibly in an AI-first world
- **Keynote: Privacy & AI Safety as Digital Responsibility –** Elevating the conversation beyond compliance
- **Unified Incident Reporting –** Harmonizing obligations across RBI, SEBI, [IRDAI](https://www.ardentprivacy.ai/irdai-guidelines-on-cyber-security/) & CERT-In

- **DPDPA in Action –** DPIA & [Data Discovery](https://www.ardentprivacy.ai/data-discovery/) roundtable discussions
- **From Awareness to Action –** Empowering Data Privacy Champions within organizations
- **Data-Centric Privacy & AI Governance –** Scaling discovery & intelligence with DBoM
- **Anatomy of an Enterprise AI Feature –** Embedding governance by design

**The conversations made one thing unmistakably clear:**

- Privacy is no longer a checklist.
- AI governance is no longer optional.
- Digital responsibility is now leadership.

Ardentia 2026 continued to build a community that doesn’t just interpret the law, it implements it.

### Day 2 | 22nd February | Track 2 (Junoon) Ardent Certified Privacy Technologist (ACPT) Training

**Key Areas Covered in the ACPT Hands-on Training**

The training provided practical exposure to key components required for effective DPDPA implementation, including:

- **DPDPA & Technology Operations Overview:** Understanding how regulatory requirements align with organizational systems and processes.
- **Assessment Manager – to conduct DPIA:** Learning how to conduct structured Data Protection Impact Assessments using an assessment-based approach.
- **Data Discovery & Intelligence:** Identifying and mapping personal data across digital environments.
- **Data Principal Request Management:** Designing workflows to manage access, correction, and deletion requests efficiently.
- **Unified Consent Management:** Implementing centralized frameworks to capture and track user consent.
- **Data Breach Management:** Establishing structured incident response and breach reporting processes.
- **Practical Use Cases:** Applying privacy requirements through real-world implementation scenarios.
